The STBi bracket system is designed to tuck under the seat to give a minimum footprint, this aids fitment into narrow and restricted cockpits. The STBi brackets are made from 5 mm thick black powder coated aluminium, with an edge profile which helps avoid the leg bulge. The brackets allow the seat to be tipped, raised and lowered using the various hole and slot combinations and this bracket has additional lower slots. These lower slots enable them to not only fit the Tillett STRi and PTRi seat adjustment runners, but also other runner brands that use a 345 mm hole spacing. With a 300 mm choice now also possible, the STBi can be used directly on the factory Mazda Miata MX5 runners of the NA Mk1 and NB Mk2-Mk2.5 versions of the car.
Please note we advise against using any seat adjustment runners in a race car, as they are only intended for road use. The optional aluminium "Pegged spacer kit" can also be used in these to strengthen the front slots in the event of an accident.
